What was it like playing in the LA Clubs during the late 70's / early 80's? Well, you'd be sharing the same small stages with bands you knew and loved. You'd be lugging heavy gear up and down staircases, packing the van in smelly alleyways, and rocking crowds of teenagers with strange haircuts and stranger fashion. New Wave, New Romantic, Punk, Rock, you name it. Named after the infamous chinatown rock club, this year's Retrofest will give insights into the times, the music, and the people of an interesting era.
